Baby with sticky eye

Does your newborn/ infant has sticky eyes (yellow discharge from birth that hasn't gone away)? Mine had for both eyes ftom birth but one eye hasn't cleared yet. Doc said might be blocked tear duct and taught massage but now at 7 weeks still not cleared. When did yours go away and what helped? Thank you in advance
