Pacifier yes or no

Does giving pacifier make the baby teeth ugly in the future? LO been crying a lot, she’s 2.5 months now and recently we gave her pacifier to calm her down. But we’re afraid that it will become a habit and it’ll be hard to cut her off. Also the most worrying part is making her gum or teeth ugly..

My LO had pacifier since birth till 18m she weaned off herself. She’s 28m now, so far all looks good. I think it’s alright to give, just that at a later stage, try to slowly reduce the time of pacifier then gradually wean off will do.
