Does a 5 month old fully breastfeed baby still poo many times a day? Or is it a diarrhoea? Earlier on baby was pooing only once every 2 to 3 days. This week itself baby is pooing 2 to 3 times each day.

Hi it is normal for baby to suddenly poo more than usual. My gal poo more often when she was teething. From once or twice a day to four to five times a day, even pooing when she was sleeping. After a week she was back to normal. However if your baby's poo is frequent and watery then it could be a sign of diarrhea. Or if you find that she poos a lot after giving baby a certain food it could be due to allergy to the food. Actually it is good for baby to poo 2-3 times every day rather than poo once every 2-3 days. Her digestive system is probably changing and maturing
