It depend on what kind of grandparents they are. I surely don't trust parents-in-law to bring my kids out alone at all. My PILs behave like kids, they not only smoke in front of my kids. Most important they do not listen or respect my Husband and my parenting decision and keep giving food that will cause allergic reaction to our child and asking them to keep "secret" from us. It really depend on how responsible is the grandparents.
