Dear mummies, any using medela dual pump breastfeeding? I have just purchased and would like to check if the tubing is required to sterilise if so, can u advice how? Thanks !!

Just to clarify, are you asking if you need to sterilise the tubings connected to the pumps? It is nearly impossible to sterilise everything but any part of the Medela pump that touched the breast or milk should be washed in warm water with a gentle soap after each use. It is not necessary to clean breast pump tubing unless it comes in contact with breast milk. If you wash your tubing, hang it to out to air dry before attaching it to your breast pump. If condensation appears in the tubing after you have pumped, turn the pump on for a few minutes until the tubing is dry before actual use.
