wash baby's outer ear gently with a washcloth and leave the canal alone; it's very rare for earwax to build up when cotton swabs are not being used.

if there are discharge, I'll clean the exterior with a wet cotton pad.

Yes, just the outside with a wet cloth. Clean them gently
Yes with warm water and cotton bud but very gently
Only when necessary and use cloth during bathtime

I clean mostly after bath time
