Baby waving at nothing and smiling

My baby is almost 11 months and loves to wave at people when they say hello. However recently she started waving at nothing and smiling. It has been freaking me out completely. Is this normal?? Have you experienced this?? I’m scared bc I’m usually alone with her till night.

My 3yrsold son always plays on his own, so he often sings and expresses himself so freely even when no one is around. (such as imagining saying hi to humpty even when he doesn't have an egg toy) one time that happened to me and also freaked me out, but eventually he stopped doing it. he just talks and sings to himself now. no worries mummy, she'll grow out of it in no time, just her imagination going wild for now 🥰
