Do babies feel pain?

Hmm I guess abit of pain, discomfort and alot of anxiety will be felt by baby during birth, and the extend depends on the situation of your childbirth (ie. If baby comes out smoothly it will be less uncomfortable for them). Anxiety and stress yes, coz I recalled my baby's heart rate drops whenever I felt contraction and she pooped in me when she got too nervous when trying to get her out (and in the end needed emergency c-sec). But don't worry, just give your baby some skin to skin time right after birth, he/she will be ok. Their pain or discomfort will be temporary. :)

Discomfort due to the contraction in the womb and pressure as it goes through the birth canal.
