Can anyone pls tell me what's the difference between Epidural and Spinal for C-sect?? This was captured from Thomson Medical's maternity price list.

An epidural is performed by inserting an injection or a catheter in the epidural space, a membranous area in the spine. A series of drugs will be administered through the catheter. This will bring about a temporary loss of sensation in the area. For spinal anesthesia, it involves the injection of numbing medicine directly into the fluid sac. Both have the same effect of numbing the lower section of the body for delivery. The latter is likely to take effect faster.
