Jaundice KKH

Question

Anyone care to share about newborn jaundice? My boy has been admitted to special ward nursery after 1 discharge 3 days ago. This is his 2nd time there. Levels are ranging from 211-316 today. How long does it take to cure? Anything I can do to help? #ftm #anxious

hi, my baby had jaundice. was discharged and had to go in for phototherapy for a day. started at 270. after discharged from hospital was 170 and had three appointments at poly for follow up & finally discharged at 41. the whole process took about 2.5 weeks. they say breastmilk helps if not consistent feeding and peeing & pooping a lot helps to clear the bilirubin in baby's body. my baby also had morning walks about 3-4 times a week (please don't allow direct sunlight, in the shades under the block will do) between 7-8am. hope this helps!
