Any idea what Gastroenteritis is? Is it worse than a regular tummy ache?

Gastroenteritis (or stomach flu) is an intestinal infection in which your stomach and intestines are irritated and inflamed. These lead to diarrhea and vomiting. It is typically caused by a viral or bacterial infection through contact with someone infected, or ingesting contaminated food or water, or unwashed hands after going to the bathroom or changing a diaper. . Its symptoms, apart form diarrhea and vomiting, are stomach pain, cramping, fever, nausea, and headache. As with all diarrhea cases, watch out for dehydration. I’ve had this once and it feels worse than a regular tummy ache. I was up all night feeling nauseous on top of vomiting and having diarrhea. Also developed a fever leaving me all weak and feeling miserable the whole time. It happened a few years ago and yet I could still remember how terrible I felt.
