Govt hospital ultrascan

2nd pregnancy, 15 weeks now. this round under goverment hospital. Went for monthly review in sgh and realise they dont do ultrascan like private during every visit.should i be concern? How do they know baby size is growing etc #pregnancy #advicepls

For subsidies you'll only get 4-5 scans throughout your pregnancy and it's completely normal. Unless for any complications, you'll get more scans. You'll get : 1. Dating scan : Week 6-12 2. Nuchal Translucency Scan : Week 11-14 3. Screening scan : Week 18-22 4. Growth scan : Week 32-36 (Gynae will also start measuring your belly manually & also do cervix check) The rest of your visits, you'll only get to listen to your baby's heartbeat via the doppler which is readily available in the gynae's room.

I'm from SGH also, and yes, they don't really doing ultrascan every visit, because of this, sometimes I will go outside private gynae for ultrasounds instead of depends in SGH. but after week 20, they will be scan it every visit, and if you concern, u can tell your gynae u want ultrascan. sometimes it is just the room that your doctor in don't have that equipment and so they didn't scan for us.
