Pregnancy

Mums-to-be can eat small quantities of soy sauce. The sodium content in soy sauce is very high and its daily consumption might affect your blood pressure and also your baby's kidney function development. Use low-salt soy sauce.

Postpartum

After giving birth, you can have soy sauce in your diet, but control your intake. Eating too much soy sauce might lead to swelling (edema).

Breastfeeding

Lactating mothers can consume soy sauce, but the intake must be controlled. Soy sauce contains a high volume of sodium which is bad for your health.

Baby

Soy sauce is not suitable for babies under the age of 11 months old.
