Pregnancy

Please do not eat luncheon meat when you are pregnant as it contain the harmful bacteria Listeria. If you must have it, then make sure it is cooked through. It is a processed food and low in nutrients so try to avoid it.

Postpartum

Luncheon meat is not a good food choice for postpartum mums who need healthy and nutritious meals.

Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding mums can have luncheon meat but it is not a nutritionally sound food choice. Do try and limit your intake or avoid it completely.

Baby

It is safest to feed your baby luncheon meat which is cooked through for example, in a fried rice. It's not a nutritious food and also high in sodium. It is best to give your baby fresh meats and fish most of the time.
