Pregnancy

Much like other traditional Asian herbs, kudzu powder is not safe for consumption during pregnancy. It is often used to manage menopause symptoms, suggesting that it has properties that affect hormones.

Postpartum

Kudzu powder should be avoided during postpartum recovery. During this period, your body is readjusting its hormones and you should not consume anything that can compromise that, like kudzu powder.

Breastfeeding

In some Asian cultures, kudzu is used to boost milk production and delay any subsequent pregnancy. However, there are no studies showing its safety. If you want some natural boosters for milk production, fenugreek is a good alternative.

Baby

Kudzu powder is not suitable for babies under the age of 11 months.
