Pregnancy

You should check if the goats cheese is pasteurized or not. Do not eat unpasteurized goats cheese as it carries the risk of having the bacteria listeria.

Postpartum

New mums, you can add goats cheese to your diet. It is very versatile and also high in vitamins and minerals which will beneift you.

Breastfeeding

Lactating mums need all the calcium they can get and goats cheese is a good alternative to other cheeses. Sprinkle on salad, top on crackers or toast, use it to bake a chicken or even add it to an omelette or mashed potatoes.

Baby

Do not give your baby unpasteurized goats cheese if they are under one year old. It is okay if the goats cheese has been cooked through for example baked with chicken.
