While fish tofu is not entirely bad for your health, remember that it may be processed and contain high levels of salt and preservative. So eat with caution.
Moderation is still key when consuming fish tofu during the postpartum period. It does help your body make new blood cells through protein, but may also contain preservatives and high sodium levels, so eat with caution.
There is no harm in consuming fish tofu in moderation during breastfeeding. This is when the body continues to pull calcium from mum into the breast milk. Getting enough calcium which can be found in tofu is essential to preventing long-term bone loss and osteoporosis down the road. Watch out for additives and high salt content.
Fish tofu is not suitable for babies under the age of 11 months.
