Pregnancy

Do not eat unpasteurized blue cheese as it carries the risk of having the bacteria listeria. Simply look at the label; if it says raw milk or does not state pasteurized milk, then do not eat it.

Postpartum

You can eat blue cheese which is high in vitamins and minerals but bear in mind that it is also high in saturated fat and sodium.

Breastfeeding

Blue cheese contains vitamins and minerals which are beneficial to a breastfeeding mum but do note that it is also high in fat and sodium.

Baby

Do not give your baby unpasteurized blue cheese if they are under one year old.
