Black cardamom has many health benefits and is used widely in TCM and Ayurvedic medicine. New mums can take black cardamom unless they are breastfeeding.

Breastfeeding

You should not consume black cardamom as a medicine whilst you are breastfeeding as there is not enough reliable information on its side effects.

Baby

Black cardamom used in cooking in foods should be okay for your baby. Do not give as a medicine.
