My 3 year old is too attached. Should I be worried?

Hi, I've a 3 year old and we recently moved abroad to follow my husband and now I've started working since 5 months ago. I send him to the playschool in the morning and at around 3.30pm I will pick him up but when we're home he's very attached and most of the time it's so hard to get anything done (cook, laundry, cleaning the house) as he wants me to hug, play together. Even in the morning he will insist that i bathe him and get him ready and will cry when my husband tries to do it on behalf even when I'm just next to him - getting ready. It looks like separation anxiety. Should i be worried?
