Hypothyroidism in second trimester
I had hyperthyroidism for a decade and was normal for 1-2 years. Recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism in my second trimester and gynae asked me to eat thyroxine. I checked back with my usual endocrine doctor and he say my readings are actually normal (they usually refer to T4 and TSH) Do anyone know if your gynae looks at “free T3 or T4 readings? My T3 is Low but T4 and TSH is of normal readings.
Should I continue taking folic acid (5mg) after my first trimester?
Should I continue taking folic acid (5mg) after my first trimester? Some of my friends continued taking till they gave birth. But gynaecologist say can stop and just take multi vitamins. I have always had the runs / feel nauseous when I took that multivitamin hence I’ve stopped that including the folic acid for a month. worried that the baby is now lacking of folic acid
Is Ensure Life Milk safe for pregnancy?
Hi mummies, I’m currently in my 8th week. I was given ensure life milk to drink by my concerned family as I couldn’t stomach food very well. However this morning I saw that vitamin A was included in the milk and I vaguely recalled too much vitamin A is harmful for the baby? I’m not quite sure if it’s safe for me to continue ensure life milk? Your advice pls! Thank you.
