First heartbeat

When did you ladies get to hear the first heartbeat of the baby? I am only reaching 6 week this Saturday and they will scan me? I am worried they will not hear anything and put me in fear until I hear it. I had a missed mc last yr. I only tender breast and sensitive nipples. No other symptoms. My cramping stopped. So I am so concern. #Pregnancy5Weeks

if you're going on a subsidiary route, what I did was seeing doc at poly clinic to get a referrer letter at 6 weeks. so by then I got my first appt at kkh, I'd be around 8 weeks. a great time as they'd be able to see everything during the scan instead of going back again coz too early as fetus is still too small

I went on week 6 day 2 and had to do transvaginal scan. Still can’t hear heartbeat but could see the heart flickering :) I agree that it can be quite a torture when you cannot hear the heartbeat. If no symptoms of concern, I guess week 7 onwards might be better? I had to go earlier cuz I face cramping issues
