What can be done if my baby's umbilical cord gets tangled around his/her neck or body in late pregnancy?

It is quite common to around the baby's necks and limbs, and does not affect the baby. It is an issue if it is wrapped around tightly. Nothing can be done to unravel the cord and in some cases, if the cord is tightly wrapped around, accompanied by signs of the baby in distress, the doctor may opt for a c-section.
