Enquiry on transition to stage 3 milk

My son has just turned one year old and I have just switched to Enfagrow stage 3 milk for him. However I realised that the instruction given for the number of feeds is now lesser. Should I follow the instruction or is it okay to feed him more than the recommended amount?
