well, if we would be willing to pay strangers to take care of our child. why is it any different with our relatives. some have mindset that it is their grandchildren so they should be taking care of them for free. but we shouldn't do that, they are already old, they have taken care of us/spouse, it is nice enough that they are willing to take care of their children's children. at least give them pocket money, buy some groceries for them, help pay their bills, give gifts. lift their burden a little.
