Yes but you shouldn’t stress your child to study because of exams but because it’s not a good look to be lazy, oblivious and uninterested in things. Education is about building character and not just for results.
I did not do well for my PSLE, but it did not affect who I am as a person And PSLE is not the end of the world even if my child did not do well
Yes it helps a great deal in evaluating but other things also matter a lot like personality development of child, mental health etc.
Well it is a way to know the extent of a child capabilities and to ensure they are in their right element to excel
