I understand what she meant when they say divorce parents have more time for themselves as I can see that through my friends as well. The child stays with their ex spouse while only see them during weekends. Or worse if their relationship with ex spouse is bad, the frequency of seeing their child is lesser. But such cases, the child is left broken and especially if you are very attached to your kid, you will feel very guilty or not giving the best environment for your child. I think the author is very overwhelmed on taking care of the family. I was something like her. Hubby work long hours, less involved and I have to jaga btw work with irregular hours and our boy. If not for my MIL help, I might have lost my sanity very soon. Using divorce when your marriage have no problems is definitely uncalled for. Rather she should have talked to her husband about giving her some me time during his day off, or have an in house nanny if necessary.
