Gynae Appointment during 3rd trimester

Is it normal when it is 28 weeks and above to have regular gynae appointments like 2 weeks gap? We just chose our Senior Consultant, and it seems the appointment is like every 2 weeks.

Mine is 1 month. Just saw doctor at week 30 and she’s seeing me again at week 34.
