My newborn baby's head is an odd shape. Will it always be like this?

Don't be afraid. Babies' skull bones are soft and easily moulded to help them squeeze through the birth canal during a vaginal delivery. If you run your fingers over your newborn’s skull, you may also find that you can feel ridges along the areas where the bony plates of the skull have overlapped.
