Food/Drink not to consume during BF
Hi mums, FTM here and just gave birth around a week ago. Wondering what food or drink that must be avoided during BF? I only know caffeine and alcohol. TIA. 😊
Actually.. nothing really. Even alcohol can be consumed. Just consume after your feeding/pump and few hours before your next feeding/pump (Unless baby latches every 1-2 hours then avoid.) The rest (eg spicy, sweet or fried food - too much may cause your milk to clog, leading to mastitis) just eat in moderation. I’m an EP mum but I don’t avoid coffee/tea 😹 I even drank them while I pump. I don’t drink alcohol at all so this didn’t affect me.
Read moreI DID NOT have seafood except fish, ginger, cold drinks, ice creams, junk food, less salt, less sugar, less msg, no caffeine, no alcohol. I strictly have confinement food and all are to prep hot/warm. This is for 44 days confinement.
