Anxious first time mummy

Hey mummies! Word of advise for me please? I’m suddenly so scared and worried for labour! Currently 35week and never been this anxious! I’m scared of all the pains, injections, induced etc. One moment I’m okay, another I feel so sick!😢 #advicepls #1stimemom #😭

Totally normal. I was like that too and did not know what to expect. But not too worry as the professionals are in there with you in the labour room to help. Opt for epidural if you can't hold the pain. It's totally safe! You really need to sit very, very still and not move. After that you'll feel numb waist down and best thing is you can sleep throughout the contractions w/o feeling any pain. For all you know, your labour might go so fast you don't even have time to feel scared. That's what happened to me. So relax. Remember to calm your mind, breathe in and out. All the best!

I'm like you too when it's nearing to date. just think about the excitement to meet your baby that you've back for the past 9 months. like who will your baby look like etc.

Was thinking, if I’m scared of injections, how am I gonna get epidural as they will still need to inject my back😭 it’ll be so painful to be poke at the back!

I am also very scared of needles but I swear it's not even painful but like an ant bite if you keep really, really still! I took epidural 4 times (I gave birth naturally 4 times). You can't even see the needles. Talk to your husband when they're trying to insert the needle. Divert your attention to something else. It helps! Otherwise, opt for the gas mask.
