Baby feeding in ward after birth

Hi mummies, just randomly want to ask, Do hospital no longer provide milk bottle for newborn for feeding? It happen last year when nurse feed my newborn using disposable transparent small cups (which actually to put medicine) i couldnt LO to my newborn as i'm not feeling well. Was kind of shocked because how a newborn able to drink a milk like an adult and might be not save for the newborn. Based on my experience, hospital will provide disposible milk bottle for newborn, as im again giving birth this year I'm not sure should i standby a milk bottle just an incase if anything happens to me while i cant LO my baby. By the way, i deliver in KKH.

Infants can drink frm a cup, it's more like sips only since they can only take in a few ml at each feed in the first few days. For me my baby was fed via syringe right aft birth as I cld not latch him, I had csect and was shivering badly frm the aneathesia. It's not good to let infants suck on bottle teats before breastfeeding is established. So don't worry abt it. Nurses know what they're doing.
