Rashes down there - pregnancy

Hi mummies. I am currently on my 2nd trimester, today I experienced rashes down there. I only noticed it when i shower use warm water and it stings a bit.. Any mummies experienced the same and what do you guys use? Pls share :) I have read coconut oil might help but unsure which brand. I have been having discharge since the very beginning of pregnancy and wear pantyliner everyday. Unsure if it causes the rash?? #pleasehelp #advicepls

It is hormonal changes whereby your body discharge will not be same before, during and after pregnancy. If it is stinging and itchy do let your doctor know to do vaginal sweep to check on infectious otherwise prescribe a cream suitable for pregnancy mum. Besides that, hydrate more, use silk undies and loose ones, avoid using pantyliner for now and tight undies or material like cotton. Your vagina needs to take a breather

It got better today, hopefully stays this way *finger crossed*

sounds like u might be having UTI, better to seek doctor's opinion. if it is really UTI u will need antibiotics to clear it. any infection is not good for pregnancy. do not use coconut oil as it will make it worse. if it is not UTI, could be u are not changing the pantyliner frequently enough, or u became sensitive to it, as preg will make us more sensitive and allergic to things that we could tolerate pre-preg.

The rashes got better today😮‍💨 but i am not sure if it will come back again. Yes i also suspect because too much discharge and only changed pantyliner once a day🫤 will take note from now on. Lesson learnt! Thanks.

I am also wearing panty liner everyday due to discharge then when I ran out of panty liner forget to buy also I use my pad when it’s actually used for having period and I got rashes below too n it’s stings whenever i shower it happen a few times alr so I think u hv to use a diff panty liner ?

Yes. Change brand or change new panty liner every few hours. I change my panty liners Whenever it’s too wet for my liking. Your skin might be sensitive to certain brands too. I used to use carefree barely there, now I use adore.
