Breastfeeding problems

Hi moms! My baby is currently 6 months and is fully breastfed! She has problem taking bottles and till date doesn’t take any form of milk be it breastmilk or formula on bottle unless she’s really starving. She doesn’t take pacifier as well, as is 100% on my breasts. She even use my nipples as pacifier to soothe her to sleep. I’m quite worried as I’m unsure how long this goes on and lately when she turned 6 months, she apparently needs more time on breastfeeding, resulting for me to not have anythign to pump out for her on emergency days. I don’t know how to solve this issue- her being addicted to my breasts and her refusing bottles and pacifier. Any help? Or tips? #firstbaby #advicepls #bantusharing #pregnancy

You have to make it a point to give her at least 1 bottle feed per day. It will be a painful process since she is so reliant on your breasts. But no choice, it’s for her own good since you have to eventually wean her too. Keep to the discipline everyday. And once she is more accommodating to the bottle, increase to 2 bottles a day, etc. My baby also has breast preference even though I started her early to be versatile with bottle feeding! Just keep to it and maintain the bottle feeds although she doesn’t drink sometimes. Then slowly from there you can also start introducing other sleep associations instead of using your nipple to sleep. Like shushing or rocking her to sleep. Tackle one thing at a time. Over time your baby will accommodate to it if you persevere.

time to practise giving bottle and someone else giving her the bottle, not you. just keep giving her bottle and let her get used to it
