Hi mummies, my 5mo old baby had a cough and the doctor gave arbillar cough syrup. Can he take?

Hi, my baby got covid around this age and he had the cough syrup. Even for normal cough and cold if the cough is more then it can get more painful and disturbed sleep. Also, if baby have blocked nose then put the saline spray 3-4 times a day.

my 5mo got cough and blocked nose, i just let it go by it self i put vicks baby and steam the room for blocked nose. BUT this medicine really works for my toddler.
