Low lying placenta

I had heavy bleeding today with few clots for 15-20 min that soaked up 1 heavy pad. Did ultrasound and found baby is fine but I have low lying placenta. Am 13+ weeks and gynae advised bed rest for a week Has anyone faced this and how much time it takes for placenta to move up? Will the bleeding happen again? #1stimemom #pregnancy #lowplacenta

noticed this question is 5 months ago. as a 1st time mummy myself in week 18, and have a bad episode like yours (also low lying placenta), wld like to know how did your pregnancy progress? 1. any more bleeding during these 5mth? heard some stop while others bleed lightly on off till labour. 2. has your placenta moved up now? 3. were u able to get maternity insurance? any other info shared wld be helpful. tq

mine was slightly low but not covering the cervix. it takes weeks, months for it to move up. by the time i was in last trim, luckily it moved and was safe enough to deliver vaginally

    Did u have bleeding/spotting until it moved?
