i have legit needle phobia, and i literally fainted after jabs. i declare everytime i do any needle pokings.. they let me lye on a bed to jab/draw blood. now am at w28, i have completed all needles poking at least till child birth (i think). just breathe, dont close your eyes, n dont see the needles at all.. i distract myself by looking at my hp with my husband silly face pictures. it helps me to calm myself a bit.. n with me lying down (i feel more relax).. 💪 so far pregnancy jabs/blood draw i havent fainted yet. jiayous mummy to be!

Thanks for sharing! Really appreciate it

I have needle/blood phobia! I would blackout sometimes. So when I was pregnant with my first, I was also very worried. The first time they did, I closed my eyes and just breathe. I told the nurse to just talk to me but don't expect me to talk. Eventually as the pregnancy progressed, I became more braver. My maternal instincts overcame my phobia. I did epidural too. You would be amazed how your maternal instincts and bravery will kick in!

Hey thanks for the assurance and sharing the encouraging experience! 😊

Once you’re pregnant, tell yourself.. no uturn. During all the test just look away and breathe in out. Let the nurses know your fear, they will usually get it over and done quickly. Either ways it has to come out (either tummy or vag). You can skip all the needles (blood test/vaccinations) but cannot run the IV. Anyway just use laughing gas before epidural (if getting) and you’ll be alright. 😊
