Starting Formula milk

Ftm here. I'm starting fm for my 4m 20D infant as I'm returning to work soon. Baby has the tendency of not finishing her milk at 1 go, eg. Will finish up frozen ebm within 2 hour frame thus I wanted to check: 1) how long can the fm be kept for if baby unable to finish the milk at one go? SG fm is so expensive😔 2) are we able to keep the fm more than 3 weeks after opening? Eg. 4 weeks 3) will you use a thermometer to measure the boiled water's temperature before preparing milk? Thank you very much! #pleasehelp #advicepls #firstmom #firstbaby

1) for me I finish it within 1 hour once it has touched his lips. Otherwise I’ll throw away, no choice :( 2) usually my son finishes it up within a week or 2 3) I use tommee tippee bottle warmer so I don’t have to measure the temperature. I just set it to the right setting and it will heat up nice and warm.

thanks for your reply 😊😊

If baby had some of the milk, max is one hour. For temp, im using a water dispenser with a temperature. But i would use my sanitize finger to test if the water if right temp or too hot. I would suggest to buy a water dispenser (bought from shopee) if you plan to feed fm. Saves alot of energy and time

thanks alot for your reply and recommendation:)

I always keep to the one hour rule for a feeding. My 7 month old baby is on mixed feeding but she usually finishes the fm within 3 weeks, even when she’s younger. I’m using Tommee tippee milk modulator, it boils the water and keep it warm at the temperature I set.
