Fertility test needed?

Hi! Are fertility tests only for those who suspect they have fertility issues? Can I just go for a check anyway while trying to conceive?

Hi, yes you definitely should if you are keen. I was trying for 4 years and never got pregnant. Went for fertility checks while still trying to conceive. At the 5th year and still did not conceive, my doctor recommended to try artificial insemination methods. I finally got pregnant through ivf at my 6th year of marriage and I am already 34. It was during fertility checks that we found out my husband and I both have diabetes which lowers the fertility rate even though we should still be able to conceive naturally. I am glad i went for fertility checks, otherwise, i might have given up on giving birth or even feel like a failure not being able to carry a child. If the checks shows no risk, then nothing to worry about. My friend went as well. At 30. Found out fallopian tubes were blocked. Did a minor day surgery, and conceived naturally 2 months after the surgery.

Yup subsidized route means you go to polyclinic and let them know you want to be referred for fertility checks. I personally went for KKH so I specifically requested for KKH when I went to the polyclinic. I think KKH is awesome. The nurses are very patient and empathetic and the doctors are very professional too. My experience has been great and I decided to stay on as a subsidized patient now that I am pregnant.
