Formula volume

Hi fellow mums, how do you know when to increase the volume of formula to feed your baby?

when baby finishes a feed and still want more. i will make extra 30ml and see how much he can drink. another indicator is the duration between feeds. if baby is used to milk every 3h but cries after 2.5h, might suggest need more milk. sometimes growth spurt, baby will want more but go back to usual volume after a few days. as baby gets bigger, he will reject milk using his hands this is based on my own experience

I’ve tried feeding on demand (ie extra 30ml) but my baby doesn’t know how to reject extra so she vomited the milk out instead. Find it hard to gauge her real demand for milk.
