First transvaginal scan of uncertain viability

Is it concerning to see gestational sac with decidual sign but no fetal pole and yolk sac? The size suggests 5 weeks. Doctor suggested possibility of early scan or anembryonic pregnancy given im supposed to be 10 weeks based on LMP. 2 weeks wait for next scan is agonizing. Update: we saw the fetal pole and a flickering heartbeat :) painful 2 weeks but probably more uncertainties to come in this journey.

I’m at a similar situation right now. Supposed to be 7 weeks when i went for scan last week but size measured at 5.7weeks. Fetal pole only appeared at 7 weeks but no heartbeat. Agreed that the wait is agonising, another week for mine.

Yeah it’s the anxious wait. But this two week gives you to prepare mentally for the worse case too. Hope it’s good news for you in next scan.
