Can 1 year olds already drink freshly squeezed juice?

From what I’ve read, homemade juice is not recommended for infants as the fruits have not been pasteurized (a process to help eliminate bacterial concentrations that may cause food poisoning). You could, however, use the liquid that is used to steam/boil fruit for fruit puree for your baby. Also, if you are feeding fruit juice to a one-year old, dilute them using one part to 10 parts of boiled, cooled water. In general, fresh fruit is still a better choice as compared to juices. I personally believe in having anything in moderation, as long as it is not harmful to the baby.
