How to know when to pump milk

Hi, my boobs leak every 1 hour but I want to only pump every 2 hours. What should I do? Collect the milk still. Or just pump only at 2 hour mark. I am a 16 day mum.

If it’s leaking, can hand express to relieve a little then pump at your scheduled pump. Or alternatively can just pump out all to maintain your supply.

Actually the definition of oversupply and undersupply depends on how much your baby feeds. Alternatively if you’re intending to go back to work after ML, it’s good to build up a stash for now then slowly reduce/drag pumping and switch to hand express till comfort (boobs wont be engorged leading to mastitis).

you can try milk saver shields. it might help.
