Pregnancy

Mums-to-be can eat soybean paste in small quantities and with caution. It is very high in sodium, which can increase blood pressure and cause swelling. It may contain harmful additives, too.

Postpartum

Since sodium is high in soybean paste, it is advised to have very little of it while recovering from birth. High salt content can lead to dehydration, swelling and high blood pressure.

Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding mums can consume soybean paste during breastfeeding in small quantities due to its high salt content. Also, some babies may suffer from soy allergies when passed to them in small quantities through breast milk.

Baby

Soybean paste is unsuitable for babies under the age of 11 months.
