Variants of iced tea are available in various flavours and lemon is a popular one amongst iced tea lovers. Although there is no perceived harm in drinking lemon iced tea in moderate quantities, the high sugar content in bottled iced teas can make it harmful. Lemon tea can boost antioxidants and flavones in your body, but the presence of sugar can negate this benefit to a great extent. Instead, you can brew decaffeinated tea at home and squeeze a slice of lemon into it to quench your craving.

Postpartum

Citrus fruits like lemons, and lime, if taken too much and too frequently, may cause fussiness, rashes and many other noticeable issues with your baby. Plus, it can irritate your stomach as well. As a new mother in recovery, this is certainly not a condition you would want to deal with.

Breastfeeding

Lemon tea is one of the healthiest drinks for a breastfeeding mom. If you are in your nursing phase, drinking lemon tea during this time can help stimulate your body and help you feel rejuvenated. Having lemon tea while breastfeeding can refresh you and boost your energy levels. It can also improve the blood circulation in your body, thus improving the quality of milk and keeping your baby happy and content.

Baby

Don't give baby sweet drinks such as ice tea, soft drinks, flavoured milk, juice or cordial. This can make baby sick and lead to tooth decay and weight gain.
