Are pregnant Women Allow To Use Lotions Or Any Moisturizer On Your Skin? Thanks

I'm currently 8mos pregnant and I'm using skin white lotion and vco for moisturizer, and my husband just watch a video that were not allowed any chemicals as well as Lotions in our body, how can I explain it to him that as long as it is not containing any harmful chemicals it will not affect to our baby?thanks in advance
