Hyperthyroidism on pregnant women

Naghahanap po ako ng safety tips para po sa mga buntis na may hyperthyroidism. May hyperthyroidism po kasi misis ko. First baby pa lang po namain. Maraming salamat po.

Hi, i have hyperthyroidism since HS. On and off ako sa medications, mejo pasaway ako with meds. Hehe. So shifted from PTU to carbimazole ang medications ko. 2 yrs before ako magbuntis hindi ako nagmeds and no checkup, then nagbuntis na. Syempre natakot na ko kasi may baby, nagpalaboratory ako normal result ng thyroid hormone ko. Bali ang ginawa lang during pregnancy ko is monitor and normal lahat ng labs ko. After pregnancy tumaas ulet, balik hyperthyroid state. So balik medicatios and monitoring ako. Nagnormal ulet yung hormones ko at 7th month postpartum, nagwean na ko sa medications ulet. Sa ngayon continuous monitoring lang ako ng laboratories. I would suggest to always update your wife's OB and endocrinologist. And btw, my daughter is 14 months now and is perfectly healthy 😊
