helping a friend

I have a guy friend who had sex with his ex on December 13 (unprotected sex), the girl told my friend that her period will come on December 12-15 but till December 29 no period came then the girl took a pregnancy test and it's positive, is there a chance that my friend got her pregnant or is there somebody else?

I think someone do it before him.
