I think it really depends on your body. TCM requires some time to take effect. Through the treatments, your body will readjust to achieve the balance and gets strengthen. Best to consult a practitioner and see what he/she advises.

Are there herbs that can help with fertility?

I remember an older auntie at my workplace talking about this chinese fertility herb called the "dong quai" (hope i spelt that right). Apparently it is like a ginseng type herb that is said to help balance estrogen levels and improve the chances of embryo implantation thus helping you conceive better. Another herb that I can think of would be red clover. It does wonders for your estrogen levels and contains lots of good vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, chromium, magnesium, thiamine and niacin.

What TCM would you recommend to increase sperm count ? My husband is a smoker and I am worried that his sperm count is low because of his bad habit...

Are there any studies to show that TCM has any effect on fertility?

I haven't personally read any scientific research done regarding this but I have heard of so many success stories. Even people in the West, who don't necessarily come from this traditional medicine background, have turned to acupuncture and other aspects of TCM and have experienced success in conceiving. I am trying to get pregnant and so far after 3 years of trying - no luck! I read that if I eat meat it will help to boost my chances of having a baby? Is this true because I am vegetarian as part of my religion...
