Threaten Miscarriage

Im 8weeks preg and yesterday was the scariest thing happened to me. I was in the shower getting ready for work and suddenly a gush of blood just flood the shower floor. I panicked and head to the toilet bowl to wash it off and then a thick lump of clot blood drop! I immeadiately called my husband and he told me not to flush it as it could be the foetus. I was bloody, i change toilet and again, another lump came out. We head to KKH and when doing the scan a lump came out again, the dr saw it too… To our suprise, the baby is still in there and still with heartbeat. Phew, for now.. Dr too cant explain why the clots and all….. will be seeing my gynae next week for assurancs. Anyone faced similiar issue and healthy into giving birth or gave birth already or its an early sign of a miscrriage? 😢 #Needadvice

Hi Ella, I experienced something similar on my 1st pregnancy. Week 8 going to week 9 and I wanted to pee but I saw blood in my underwear. Was so afraid to walk and I was alone at home. With blood continously dripping down my leg. Scariest day of my life. I called 995 and paramedics loaded me gently in the trolley and sent me to kk. Paramedics used a doppler and could find 2 heartbeats still to comfort me. At kk emergency, doc forced me to pee in a bed pan as I was holding it in. I peed blood and they were worried. Did a cervix scan and found fetus still intact. Warded for 3 days and then 2 weeks of bedrest. My advice? Listen to doctor and take the duphastron they will prescribe to support the pregnancy. And try to rest more and don't walk too much in your first tri. My toddler is turning 2yo in 10 days now. Healthy and cheeky.

To add on, the kkh emergency sent me back without any pills, she said “too early to give hormone pills”. But when i read up on duphastron when i got home, it said to be given during EARLY pregnancy. Lucky my subsidised gynae already gave me the pills few days prior to this episode :/
